Back from the St.G

Well, we are back in Arizona. We had so much fun in St. George! Except...Vannah was a cry baby while we were there. She was not acting like herself. I think there were too many people, but it was so embarrasing because we also tell everyone what a great baby she is and she totally made liars out of us! But good thing we have tons of video tape to send to our family to prove that she is normally an angel! LoL.

Natalie's birthday was so much fun. I still feel like I did not get to visit much with everyone. But everything was so busy and Vannah kept on getting messy. Natalie is so adorable and so tall! She is only 2 years old and 3 feet. It makes sense considering my brother is 6"5 and Linda is actually tall too. Also, Vannah is shorter percentile for her height, so they looked more than a year apart. I was videotaping most of the time, so i did not get as many pictures, so I will just post a few. Natalie and Savannah

I am so anxious right now! I cannot describe my excitement!!!!
This weekend, our lil fam is driving up to St. George to see my brother, his wife and my niece natalie for her 2nd birthday! I am so excited. I have not seem them since last Thanksgiving and it is way overdue. I miss my bro like crazy and although I talk to him on the phone, it is just not the same.
I am just so excited to get Natalie and Savannah together! I am also excited to see my cousins Blaire, Kenz, and Terrah. I saw Terrah recently, but I have not seen Blaire and Kenzie AND Kenzie's lil girl, Kembry! the last time I saw Kembry, she was just crawling, not even walking and now she is a little girl.
I will also get to see my family from California. Oh goodness I am excited. When we get back, i will post pictures. :)

Anywho, besides that, I wanted to tell all my "blog friends", which isn't many, that I enjoy reading and seeing what everyone is up to. I love hearing about old friends and family and how they are doing in their lives. It is quite amazing how we all live in different states and have grown so much, yet we are all on similar paths in our lives. Getting married, settling down, going to school and working, starting families, making life changes...our lives are just starting. :) So, thank you for letting me have a look into your lives and know you all are doing ok. :)

Start Your Engines....

So, yesterday, me and Lindsey took Savannah up to Laughlin Ranch to take some pictures for her 1st Birthday. We took a lot, so I posted a few samples below. She is only 11 months right now, but I needed to take the pictures early of course. It was fun, but we could not for the life of us get her to smile. Usually she loves the camera and smiles all the time. I think it was because there was so much to look at.
Savannah is fully walking now....only barefoot, but walking nonetheless. She likes to climb the stairs and pick up toys and take them to the other side of the room. Along with walking, she figured out how to "duck" and crawl under our bed. :/
Johnny started walking at 9 months, fell down and did not get up again until he was a year and half! I think my mom told me I started at 9 months. So, I am glad Vannah started at an average age.
I think Vannah has also said her official first words. Since she was a lil infant, she always said "dada". But I think in the last few months, she has now realized who dada is. So other than dada, i think her other first official word is "Georgia". Yes...Georgia, our dog's name. It is not the easiest word for a baby or toddler to say, but she knows who our dog is and somehow she says the name clear enough: "Dorga". :) Her favorite stuffed animal is Curious George and she knows the difference between "Dorga" and "Dorge". I have never been around babies, never grew up with them and never babysat when I was younger. So, I think that besides Vannah being my daughter, i just love watching this lil person develop a personality. :)

Hello Everyone!

I have finally launched my blog for Savannah Belle Bowtique! Yay! I also have a myspace up for SBB also! I make hair bows....from infants, to toddlers, to little girls for all occasions. I make simple bows to themed bows, to cheerleading bows, pageant bows and bows custom made to match each individual outfit.

Customer does pay for shipping and handling, which is, most of the time, $2.00. If it is anymore than that, I will offer to pay a portion.
Once I get my site completely up and running, i will have a "Bow of the Month" and when you spend a certain amount or buy certain bows, I will throw in a free bow. As of now, I am awaiting brand new customers, and for being one of my first customers, I offer better prices and throw in a free "glamour/specialty bow" with each order.

Ears Pierced....

Vannah got her ears pierced!!! I did not take her though. She is now 10 months and her Auntie Linds took her on Monday to the mall to get them done. I could have no way been there. I cry when she gets her shots at her pediatrician! Linds even told me that she was suprised that got tears in her eyes when Savannah cried. It is horrible to see my baby in pain. So, I am glad that I was not there! But...she is doing great. She does not pull on them and she likes looking at them in the mirror.

In other news...in a month we are going up to St. George for my niece, Natalie's 2nd birthday. I am so excited to see her, (and my brother and his wife). We have not seen them since Thanksgiving last year. They only live 3 hours away. It is sad that I have not been up there more often to see them. We need to make more of an effort to drive up there!

In other news. Monsoons in Arizona have been on the rise the last week and continue to go. What is good about Monsoons is that while the sky darkens and the winds rise, the actual "monsoon" does not usually last more than an hour or so. Bad news is that when they come...they hit quick, hard, and dangerous with rain, wind, hail, dust storms, thunder, lightening and...flooding. (this may be the desert, but it does not mean it is flat!) Here are some pics I leave you with of Arizona Monsoons:

Joshua!!! Yay...Joshua won So You Think You Can Dance (season 4). I am so excited. I thought either him or Katee would win and so I was happy with Joshua winning. He almost did not make the Top 20 and he was never formally trained. He was a street dancer who was able to take on everything that SYTYCD threw at him! He really did deserve to win!!!

Yes, every now and then I get on you tube and check out videos. Usually not popular ones, but I look for stuff I like....like hair and makeup stuff or artists who paint or sing on You Tube. And I actually found this girl, Alyssa Berna, on youtube who only posts videos of her singing. She is only 18 and just graduated HS and she has has a wonderful voice. I guess she is recording an album, so I will be on the lookout for her. But i thought I would just post her You Tube profile and one of my favorite songs she sings. So check it out if you have time:

So, we are back home in Arizona from a long trip in California. It was so busy and stressful and fun, it felt like we were there for only a day. Kurtis and Mandee's wedding was soooo beautiful and it was a lot of fun. I did not get any pictures of the ceremony because I left my camera in the car and did not have enuff time to run back and get it, but i still got a few pics later on. Johnny's best man speech was really good, (much better than the maid of honors), and the food was excellent, soooo freakin good! They had this tomato bisque soup and this awesome rasberry vinagrete dressing and then chicken & filet mignon! Oh My Gosh! sooo good!

I also got to hang out with my mom a lot, we went to El Torito and my babysat Savannah during the wedding and for a few nights when I hung out with some friends! She is the best Gramma. Vannah had such a good time!

I also hung out with My dad and Debi on Sunday and went to church and saw many people i have not seen in years. I saw Verna Shaw, Becky Money, Linda Moody, Wendy Holmes, and other people too!!! After church I saw my gramma Jackie and granpa Bill and went over to my "step-gramma" Janet (Debi's mom) She is the nicest lady ever! I also saw the whole Lamb family, including Patrick, who now is my cousin...well..."step-cousin"....who i had not seen since before he left for his mission (he is tall!!!)

I wish I could have spent more time with my dad's side of the family but we had to go to this stupid after wedding luncheon. I should have not gone and just let Johnny go by himself. I felt like i barely spent any time at all with the Carrols and Kalines and Lambs after church. Oh well....i will just have to plan a trip just to see my family next time! :)

This past weekend, me, jaw and the baby went to California for 2 days. :) Johnny threw Kurtis a bachelor party, so I came along and stayed with my mom all weekend. We had a lot of fun and it was so nice that my Vannah got to spend time with her Gramma Suzanne. We went in the pool, shopped, watched movies and ate sushi! WE also went over to the Grace's house to see Kurtis, Mandee, and Kurtis' parents...who are totally awesome!
Even though we wil be back in cali in 3 days, we will busy with the wedding, so it was nice spending some quality time just me and my mom, (and Vannah). I can't wait to be back in California. I am getting my a pedicure and a manicure and I have not had this done since before I was pregnant!!! My feet are ugly! LoL.
Anywho...I am excited to go back to cali in a few days and spend time with the other side of the fam and friends!

Well, Happy Late 4th O July! I had a quick weekend. Mostly because Johnny worked Thursday, Friday, Saturday, had Sunday off and now he is back at work until Thursday. Its okay though. We are still searching for a place to move. We went to do it sooner than later...but we have to save up more money. Moving is not an easy thing to do! It takes time and planning! But as long as we are planning, it makes working a little more delightful knowing we are putting money away for our future! :) .....and to buy Vannah toys and clothes too of course! LoL! I am so excited to be going to California next weekend. Johnny's best friend is getting married and well, jaw happens to be the best man so he has tons of duties and he will be busy. Me...on the otherhand...i get to visit with family! I am so excited for Vannah to see her grammas, granpa and great grandparents again. Woot Woot. I am also going to church with my dad and stepmom while I am down so they can show off Savannah. I just found out that my cousins from NC will be there the week after me. Dang! Hopefully i will see them soon another time though! :)

I am drinking cream soda and taking a break from work. I just got 6 stat reports in a row. Gosh...exhausting...I think this specific doctor just puts his reports in as "stat" so they will get done first because he is prolly a primadonna.

So I watched So You Think You Can Dance and i basically love every dance Mia Michaels does. Some people say they are repetitive...but of course...listening to the same band can seem that way too, but it does not mean their songs do not sound great. Her choreography is brilliant and i love watching her dances.

So I found some new great pictures and I know that either Hil has this one or she will steal it. This is a beautiful picture of my two fav cousins in the world. Sandra and Hilary: :)

I also found a cute one of my sista and my couz davis: These two are like best friends...which of course, when we were younger, Davis was a little bug...so I guess it is true that when you grow up, you tend to get along more. :)

I should be working, but...sometimes I get distracted. I was looking at old pics and I found a couple. I found one from 3 months ago of Vannah and Johnny on his birthday. It is so cute...she did not have as much hair back then:

Well, also today my Gramma Jackie called and it so nice to talk to her. She told me about her trip to North Carolina to see Baby Shaela and Ethan n Gavin. They are so cute...i just wanna squeeze them! :)

The last time I was in Cali, I did not get to spend much time with her, but....Thankfully, me and jaw are going to cali in a couple of weeks so we will get to see her and she will be able to hold Vannah...so I am excited about that.

Right now, we are still looking into where we want to live. Our ideal place is North Carolina, but that might not happen as soon as we would like. So we are looking to stay in Arizona, but moving to the phoenix area. But this is all up in the air, so we will just see what God has planned for us. :)

So, there is major talk about moving within the next couple of months. I will not say where because I do not want to jinx any plans we are trying to make. Hopefully things will work out for our lil fam.

Next thing I know, she had fallen asleep in her walker. Usually she starts whining when she wants out and wants a bottle for nap time, but she just went to sleep, so i took a picture to share:

So, yes, like every other couple out there, we watch So You Think You Can Dance?! and i love it. tonight my favorite dance was Chelsie and Mark doing the lyrical hip hop dance. At first when i heard the song, "Bleeding Love"....i was in question if it was going to work, but of course it was amazing. I got the chills. I was watching it with my MIL and we both looked at eachother with glassy eyes. I think it touched our hearts in the same way. If you want to see it go to this link:

Hi, I am Emily and I decided to start a blog for me and husband, Johnny, because I see that a bunch of my old friends from HS and my newlywed cousin started one, so I thought, hey I need to do the trendy thing and be cool...lol, jk.

Well, Me and Johnny are living in Northern Arizona, in a very small town, and while we like it, we need to move to a bigger city with more opportunity and better healthcare. So, we are looking to move to the North Carolina in the next few years. Johnny works at the local hospital and I work from home as a Medical Transcriptionist, so I can be home with our baby girl. We have been toghter for 2 years and we have a little girl who is almost 9 months old. I cannot believe it! She is getting so big! Well, i guess my first blog is an introduction until I can think of something else to post about! :)
